The Western Wayne County Genealogical Society and the Livonia Civic Center Library are hosting a seminar called “Finding That Elusive Ancestor,” with Barbara Vines Little. It wil be from 8 am to 5 pm at the Livonia Civic Center Library at 32777 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan. 734-466-2491 is the phone # for the library.
People can go on WWCGS’ website www.rootsweb.com/miwwcgs/ or they can call Sue at 248-477-5846. Registration is $27 before Oct. 27th, plus a lunch that costs $7.00. It’s $35 after Oct. 27th and no guarantee of lunch. There will be vendors and door prizes. About 100 people are expected.
November 19, 2011 – Livonia, Michigan
The Irish Genealogical Society’s 15th Anniversary Seminar is to be held at the Monaghan Knights of Columbus Hall, 19801 Farmington Road. “Discover Your True Self, Discover Your Irish Roots” is the theme with Nualla Farrel-Griffin from Ontario to speak. We expect about 125 people and there will be vendors and door prizes. Cost is $35, which includes a continental breakfast and a lunch if received by Nov. 5th; $45 after that date. The program runs from 8 am to 5 pm. Registration forms can be found at www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~miigsm/ or you can call Sue at 248-477-5846.
