Made available through an affiliation with Footnote.com, FamilySearch.org recently added millions of Confederate and Union Service Records for soldiers of the American Civil War. The newly added database contains millions of indexed, thus searchable, images. The records include the jacketed folder showing each soldiers name. Other content includes such items as payrolls, muster rolls, appointments, and any other service related records or document specific to the soldier.
