NGS Opens the Surname Research Catalog for the 2012 Family History Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio 9-12 May, 2012

NATIONAL GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY OPENS THE SURNAME RESEARCH CATALOG FOR THE 2012 FAMILY HISTORY CONFERENCE
CINCINNATI, OHIO, 9–12 MAY 2012
The Ohio River: Gateway to the Western Frontier

(Arlington, VA)–The National Genealogical Society has opened the Surname Research Catalog for the 2012 Family History Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Surname Research Catalog is a list of surnames that registered attendees of the conference are researching. The information is submitted by the attendees and contains surnames, dates, locations, and researcher contact information. The catalog gives registered conference attendees an opportunity to connect with other attendees who may be researching a common ancestor or location.

Submissions to the catalog will be accepted through 1 May 2012 and the catalog will remain open until the end of the conference, 12 May 2012. The Surname Research Catalog is available for registered attendees of the conference at http://www.ngsgenealogy.org/cs/surname_catalog.

The thirty-fourth NGS Family History Conference, The Ohio River: Gateway to the Western Frontier, will be held 9–12 May 2012 in Cincinnati, Ohio. An online searchable conference program allows prospective convention attendees to preview the four-day event.
