Finally! I got a case of Michael J. Leclerc’s new 5th edition of the Genealogist’s Handbook For New England Research today. And this is one great book. Although I don’t have the time at the moment to do a full review (which we will in a few days), I wanted to let everyone know that this volume is all we expected it to be, and more. Published by the New England Historic Genealogical Society, the 432 page book details the New England research process.
The book details the vital records, church records, probate records, land records, court records, and military records of the New England states. Statewide information, as well as county, city, town and plantation records are dealt with. The two-color (shades of blue and b&w) book is loaded with maps!
Any New England researcher will want a copy of this volume – only $24.45 at the Family roots Publishing Co. website.
