Good Advice From A Chameleon

The program at my garden club meeting was a tour of the island of  Madagascar with its weird, varied and fantastic flora and fauna. Apparently there are over 100 species of chameleons….. do a Google Image search to see how neon colored these creatures can be and how they can vary from over two feet to barely one half inch long. Remarkable creatures. So what genealogy pearl can be learned from chameleons and Madagascar? Just this, a Madagasy saying:  Behave like a chameleon and keep one eye on the past and one eye on the future. I thought this was a great little saying and I do think it applies to our favorite hobby. To do effective research, we must keep the family in mind that we want to find as well as looking forward and seeking new sources for searching. Do you agree?
