The following CD-ROMs & book are available from the Hackettstown [New Jersey] Historical Society:
“Hackettstown Centennial 1853-1953.” This CD-ROM celebrates Hackettstown’s first 100 years in photographs with 290 black and white images from the 1953 Centennial commemoration. The CD includes images from the parade, the local football game, and local buildings, businesses and people from town, including hometown girl, Bette Cooper, Miss America 1937.
“Union Cemetery Volume One.” This CD is made up of a collection of over 1,000 images of headstones found in Hackettstown’s largest cemetery. It includes some of the oldest stones, and features ancestral families including Ayers, Day, Everitt, Hance, McCracken, Osmun, Sharp, and Titus.
“Hackettstown Postcards Volume One.” The CD-ROM includes reproductions from the museum’s collection of vintage postcards dating to the early 1900s. Included are views of Main Street, churches, schools, the Morris Canal and landmarks like the American House and Hotel Clarendon.
“Historic Main Street, Hackettstown, New Jersey” This is a 180 page book on Hackettstown history. It sells for $27 postage paid. Download the pdf order form here.
