Does this look familiar? This is the wall hanging that my daughter, Jane Wood, and I made for Leland and Patty and it’s displayed hanging in their front entrance hall. We made it from cut-outs of most all the shirts from most all of the previous Christmas tours. It was to be ready for the 25th anniversary (as evidenced by the block made by Maureen MacDonald) but we didn’t quite make that. At the last December’s tour, everybody there signed the quilt on the back.
We all were happy to contribute to this endeavor. Remember how I asked you for shirts I did not have any longer and you cheerfully gave up your shirts to me. My daughter is an award-winning quilter and this piece is really a work of art.
So what will be our shirt color this coming year? Something we’ve NOT had before: a bright lime green. Hope you approve. First time you’ve known in advance. (Joan Roman always wants to know to plan her wardrobe.)
Donna, aka Mother Hen, until next peek.
