This article comes from FoxNews.com:
The National Archives is canceling reservations for late afternoon and evening tours due to automatic federal budget cuts taking effect.
Starting Friday, visitors who reserved timed entry tickets for later than 4:45 p.m. will have to reschedule. Some visitors made advanced reservations through the website Recreation.gov and can reschedule on the site.
Officials announced this week that operating hours at the archives would be reduced because of the budget cuts.
Thanks for posting this. The cuts make me sad, at the archives and many other government organizations.
We all understand the impact that budget cuts require. This is just one of the impacts on my Genealogical research, but I am sure that it could have been logically worked out to service all with an appropriate balance.
