Irish Ancestry? Check Out Eneclann

Several weeks ago, I got a call from from my friend, Brian Donovan, in Ireland. He was making plans to attend the National Genealogical Society conference in Las Vegas, and was trying to come up with a way of displaying Eneclann’s CD-ROMs. He just happened to call the right person, as Family Roots Publishing has all kinds of racking that we’ve acquired over the last several years as various video stores have ceased business. I added the racking for Brian to my load and brought it to Vegas.

Brian, as well as Paul Manzor, are manning exhibit hall booth #430 for Eneclann. The company was established in 1998 as a Trinity College Dublin campus firm, offering research services, as well as CDs. The company has grown, offering many specialized Irish research services, and now offers over 1000 titles of interest to genealogists and historians on not only CD-ROM, but as digital downloads.

Eneclann has a free newsletter that contains expert advice and tips on how to trace your Irish ancestors. The newsletter also includes news on upcoming events, publications, and so forth. As a special promotion for the NGS conference, Eneclann is offering the opportunity to genealogists and historians to sign up for the free newsletter at http://www.eneclann.ie/media-centre/newsletter/ and be entered in a drawing to win €50 worth of digital downloads. The sign-up period for the drawing ends on Monday, May 13, so sign up ASAP! When you sign up, you’ll get a confirmation email. Be sure and click on the link in the email, confirming that you want the newsletter. It may take a couple minutes to get the confirmation email.
