The County Clerk of Hamilton County, Tennessee has posted a searchable marriage database online.
Data from Marriage Licenses issued from 1857 to 1919 and then from 1985 through 2008 are posted at the website. The plan is to post the remaining records from 1920 to 1984 when the project is completed.
It looks like marriage license data from 1819 to 1856 does not exist, and is thought to have been lost when the courthouse was destroyed by fire in 1910.
