The following was received from the National Genealogical Society:
I would like to remind our member societies and organizations that the deadline for entering your newsletter in our annual newsletter competition is fast approaching. Entries may be sent either electronically or by the US Postal Service and must be postmarked by 31 December 2013.
There are three categories for entries: family associations, major genealogical and/or historical societies (500 members or more), and county/local genealogical and/or historical societies (500 members or less). All details and an entry form can be found at the NGS website under the awards menu at (http://www.ngsgenealogy.org/cs/ngs_newsletter_competition/nomination_form).
Because many societies are sending their newsletters electronically, we are now accepting electronic newsletters.
I hope that your society will enter the competition.
