The Carson House, in Marion, McDowell County, North Carolina, opened its doors today for the 2009-2010 season. The county’s most important historical site will also be open for a longer period than before. The house museum will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 2 to 5 p.m.
…That gives visitors more time to tour the house or do some genealogical research in the Greenlee Memorial Library housed in the Carson House.
