The American Idol Season 6 winner will share her personal story and speak to the power of uniting through song and word on the first day of the conference, held March 2–4, 2023, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and virtually at RootsTech.org.

At 17 years old, in one of American Idol’s highest rated seasons, Sparks garnered worldwide attention as the winner of Season 6. She has since gone on to release multiple hit singles, selling over 10 million digital tracks in the US, and has starred in several Broadway and film productions. In 2017 Sparks married Dana Isaiah Thomas, and the next year the happy couple welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their family. Sparks has always been rooted in the love and loyalty of her family—something RootsTech viewers and attendees will understand better as she takes the stage to share the stories and songs that have shaped her life and family connections.
