I ran across the following news release, and found this website interesting and different.
Bergen, NY (PRWEB) August 15, 2009 – GenealogyVoice.com, a blog that encourages and assists those hoping to research and record their genealogy, has added new pages regarding family tree templates, genealogy searches, and tracing family history.
GenealogyVoice.com’s new page entitled “Family Tree Templates” describes a variety of ways in which to organize genealogical records. Some of the most popular template choices include pedigree charts, genograms, and creative photo projects. This page describes which template is appropriate depending on the amount of information collected. It also evaluates each template’s presentation of the genealogical information.
Being aware of useful genealogy resources is essential for tracing family history according to the page on GenealogyVoice.com titled “Genealogy Search Engines.” This page offers a review of some of the more popular genealogy search engines on the internet. GenealogyVoice.com describes these search engines regarding their price, ease of navigation, and offered features.
GenealogyVoice.com’s page, “Tracing Family History,” offers readers a step-by-step tutorial on researching and reconstructing family history. This page focuses on the importance of locating and gathering data, creating an organized system to record that data, and prolonged and continued research. This tutorial not only helps instruct the new researcher, but it also provides motivation for the arduous process of genealogy research.
Do you have a template to request vital records?
Jan,
Good question. I actually had carbonless duplicate form letters for vital records requests up until the early 90s when I sold out to AGLL. I haven’t had any since then. Do any of the readers know of any online sources of Vital Records Request templates? If so, please comment.
Leland
Has anyone here actually used this site? It seems to be one of a number of PR-type blog sites that are all linked to each other and to a commercial site that has nothing to do with genealogy. I suspect the purpose of all the interlinked blogs is to achive a good search engine ranking for the commercial site (this is a technique in search engine optimization). Motorcycle clothing, tips for feeding small livestock, and a bar in Florida, which are just some of the blog topics on this so-called genealogy site, have nothing to do with genealogy.
