All is not doom and gloom when it comes to funding for up & coming genealogy-related Internet ventures. Geni.com just raised another 5 million dollars in venture funding – the cash coming from Charles River Ventures, as well as The Founders Fund.
Yammer, another new website, also started by former 
PayPal COO David Sacks, got another 5 million. Yammer is touted to be the corporate equivalent of Twitter.
