WhoRunsGov.com

whorunsgov.comThe Washington Post, in cooperation with Time, and Slate, has posted a new website, WhoRunsGov.com, that gives biographical information, as well as policy data on folks involved in the Federal government. I understand that the plan is to also include state officials, experts at think tanks, and interest groups.

The Post says the goal is to provide policy-related bios of all major government decision makers, including Executive and Legislative branches as well as independent agencies. I found that the site clearly sways to the left. Just keep that in mind when reading the posts.

There is a lot of data on the site, and it looks to be a good place to find information on what will be a large number of folks. The site is still in process, even as deals with the federal government. The congressional biographies are still rather thin. Just keep in mind that you shouldn’t get all your information from any one site. Using Google, or your favorite search engine, to get additional information is always recommended.

Following are a few direct links to some interesting pages on the site:

Administration Officials

Likely Administration Officials

Barack Obama Advisers

Former Clinton Administration Officials

House of Representatives

Congressional Leaders

Members of Congress

Senate

Military

Executive Branch Officials

Hill Staff
