Norman, Oklahoma, July 19, 2010: The nation’s largest publisher of original landowner maps, Arphax Publishing Co., announces today that its two primary book series are now available in soft-cover editions. In its first five years, Arphax has published books for over 500 U.S. counties which display maps of original landowners. Before today, these volumes were available only with a spiral-bound or library-bound cover option. But beginning right now, every current title is also available in a high-quality paperback edition.
“The economy being rough out there actually motivates us to do what we do better; not just crawl into a shell,” begins Greg Boyd, creator of the Family Maps and Texas Land Survey Maps series. “We have listened to our customers’ needs and wants and are excited to be able to respond in a really significant way.” Boyd continues: “A little over two years ago, we began acquiring equipment that would enable us to produce quality paperbacks. The final piece of that puzzle was purchased just a couple of months ago and now everything is finally in place. And we could not be more ecstatic about the results and what that will mean to our researchers.”
Arphax currently publishes original landowner maps, in book form, county-by-county, for twenty-three (23) different states. And while there are still hundreds of counties remaining to be mapped, all future releases will have three different cover options. The goal from the onset has been to meet the specific needs of any researcher or repository who enjoy this unique and information-rich resource. And now a lower-cost alternative is available to those in need of that sort of research tool.
Corresponding with the launch of its new paperbacks, Arphax is also announcing that, as of today, each of the 3 cover choices (paperback, spiral, and hardbound) will be offered for sale on Arphax’s website (www.arphax.com). Whenever a customer reaches any product-page, all three options will be available to them. “We have redesigned our web-site to make it simpler for people to understand their options for getting into our work. We’ve tried to make it easier, and more cost-effective for folks to purchase what’s right for them,” Boyd adds.
The states Arphax currently produces maps for are: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin. California will be added to the mix in the coming weeks. And other states are scheduled to follow.
Arphax encourages researchers to subscribe to its periodic e-mail newsletter, which is sent about 8 times a year. There’s a link on their home-page (www.arphax.com) that allows you to subscribe. Also, the company encourages researchers to let Arphax know which counties they wish would be published soon.
