A new exhibit titled “Arkansas Folk,” has opened at the Arkansas State Capitol in Little Rock. It features the folk culture of the Ozark highlands of Northern Arkansas.
The exhibit includes various folk culture items along with photographs and multimedia content. It highlights the rich legacy of the Ozark Folk Center and its research collections, now part of the state archives.
A collaboration between the Arkansas History Commission and the Arkansas Secretary of State’s office, the exhibit gives Capitol visitors a sampler of Ozark folk life.
The Arkansas Folk exhibit may be viewed in the State Capitol’s first-floor galleries through May 15. The Arkansas State Capitol is open to the public from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
