John D. Reid posted that Ancestry has offered their World Deluxe membership package at 50% off to new subscribers in today’s edition of the Toronto Globe and Mail. The offer runs through January 3. See his blog for more info.
May thanks to Polly Kimmitt for catching a big-time error in my initial posting this morning.
Thanks so much for posting this exciting news! One small correction though: the offer runs only through January 3, 2011, not July 3! For those who might hesitate, worth taking note!
Thanks again!
Wow! Thanks for catching that one, Polly. That’s one of those dumb errors that come with too little sleep and having to much fun at the computer! I appreciate ya’ and “Thanks again.”
This may be a dumb question, but is this only available for Canadian subscribers? I don’t see it on the US site.
Not a dumb question at all. Since the World Deluxe subscriptions are essentially the same no matter where you are, I’m sure that it matters not where you might live. The Internet certainly makes the world smaller. 🙂
Wish it were for existing members too! It would be nice to catch a break once in a while on that subscription.
I cancelled my ancestry.ca membership over a year ago, so consider myself a new member, & they certainly aren’t offering it to me. I subscribed, & they threw back my old username & password at me, & the price was still $299. I also think it’s most unfair of them not to offer it to people who have been loyal members .
