Hello on January 10th. Questions today for you from me: (1) How many have even opened their syllabus since the tour? It’s a new year, and you are newly-beginning again to tackle those research problems, and don’t you think there might be some helpful hints in that syllabus??? (2) How many of you gave away some of the sweet little gifts you received at one of the tour breakfasts??
Now the news: Alan Neve is working on a Google map that will show “points” across the U.S. where we all live. Our idea with this map is to better enable us to perhaps stop and visit on any cross-country travels in 2011. Stay tuned for his finished product. Just heard that our local Family History Centers will have a name change. Now they will be called FamilySearch Centers……. makes me wonder if the Family History Library will become the FamilySearch Library??? (And you’ll notice that “FamilySearch” seems to always be one word.) If you hear, let me know!
Do you recall Thomas MacEntee’s term for most of us?? “Silver surfers.” I loved that!
Donna, aka Mother Hen, until next week.
Hi Donna!
Yes! I have opened my syllabus. I ‘attended’ the Legacy webinar that Thomas gave. Used my Tour syllabus and made more notes. Can’t wait until next December to hear more from Thomas and using the web during our tour week. All his classes were very informative and I like his delivery of information. He was easy to understand and he respected the time he was allowed, keeping a very tight schedule got us back to researching quickly.
Until December,
Pat S., another “Silver Surfer”
